His music invites presence, openness, and wonder.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eLuis Pérez Ixoneztli is a highly influential Mexican composer, ethnomusicologist, and multi-instrumentalist whose life has been devoted to the study and preservation of Indigenous musical traditions. Beginning in the early 1970s in Mexico City, his journey into native instruments evolved into a profound exploration of pre-Columbian Mesoamerican sound.
