I had the most unexpectedly transformational experience at Carly Jo Carson’s breath + sound journey. It’s honestly hard to put into words. Friends told me it would be powerful, but I could never have anticipated the depth of what I experienced. From the moment I settled into the herbal rest bed curated by Eve Gaines, surrounded by the beautiful natural scents crafted by Leanne Hirsh, something inside me both softened and awakened.
As Carly guided us through the breathwork, it felt as though everything truly important in my life rose clearly to the surface - while the things that had been weighing me down, clouding my decisions, constricting my voice, and hindering my relationships simply fell away. There was also a profound emotional release that I didn’t expect. Emotions I had been holding onto for far too long began to rise, and for the first time, I felt safe enough to actually let them go. At one point, it was as if all my senses and normal levels of functioning were gently halted - quieted - leaving only the pure release of what had been locked inside me. It was deeply emotional in the most healing, necessary way.
The experience was grounding, eye-opening, and deeply comforting… almost like being wrapped in a warm hug and receiving years of therapy in a two-hour journey.
Carly holds this exquisite balance of reverence and lightness - serious and serene, yet gently playful, never taking anything too seriously. I felt completely safe, nurtured, and accepted, even though I’d only done breathwork a handful of times before. Nothing I’ve done in the past compares to this. Not even close.
And the music… truly otherworldly. Carly’s voice, woven with the voices of others in her recordings, felt like loving guides walking with me, whispering, “You’re okay. You’re doing exactly what you’re meant to be doing. You’re safe.” It carried me through the entire experience. At the same time, her voice and the magnitude of the music pushed my mind into a deeper realm - expanding my capacity to process what I most needed to process.
I left knowing something inside me had shifted in a profound way - and knowing, without question, that I would be back.

I had one of the most, if not the most profound experience from the session. I fell into it quickly and was taken on a journey and witnessed my life from nearly the beginning to the end. There were visions, sensations, tears, pain, joy - all of it. I'm still finding a way to process the downloads and move through the energy and visions experienced through movement, meditation and writing. I have sat with plant medicine many times, did a 12 day silent meditation retreat, yoga training...the whole nine - but I am in AWE that I experienced what I did through the breath and your gorgeous music alone. Words really do not do justice to the experience, but here goes.
There were moments when I really felt that the universe, or unified field, or ALL THAT IS, was breathing me, rather than the other way round. I was presented with infinitely unfolding omnichromic vertices. Seething, pulsing, completely immersive sensations of pure consciousness. Unbounded, non-judgemental, complete love. The body was just a shell I was leaving behind, and at the same time I was so thankful for my body, my health (touch wood) and my lungs.
Part of me kept thinking about all the people I wanted to tell about the experience. Because I couldn't believe it was possible.
